The scan lines are awesomely subtle and the cheese regurgitation at the end is brilliant. Great work!

Big 90s MTV vibes. This is so damn good. Character designs are next level funny.

Absolutely immaculate flow and stellar creative choices.

Ah, yes, the classic hockey fight move of spitting your teeth at the other players. Saw Messier pull that one in 1995.

Vibe.

This is super ambitious for Newgrounds and I think it mostly comes together in the end! I love the school setting and slice of life vibe. You've created a fully fleshed out world and really filled it out with some fun characters. Not only that, but the amount of animation variety is really impressive. I only have two critiques.

1. The writing, while providing some hilarious gags, felt a bit repetitive. The intro sequence provides everything we need to know and I still kind of felt like we were being reminded of the main motivating factor of why Marcus is trying to stay popular here and there. I feel like editing some of the fat out early on would help a lot.
2. The voice acting is all great, but the mic quality varies a bunch. I'd just work on making sure the consistency is a bit more solid.

Hillasir responds:

Aw thanks! We hear your feedback. We've worked out the bugs with our mic problems and it'll be razor sharp next time we promise 😎

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS

Your choreography and sense of scope and scale is there. Super cinematic and engaging for a simple story, but the physics could be a lot better. A lot of general floatiness and lack of impact. Definitely keep working at your craft, you've got most of the equation down, it's just those fine details that need a bit more work.

When what you love becomes work. I felt this pretty hard.

Scariest ending ever.
